What about ongoing costs?

These are one-off design and build prices. Domain registration and renewal, hosting, paid email services and any other third-party charges are separate. I’ll explain any required costs before you commit. Maintenance and later changes are optional and quoted separately.

Online shops, booking systems, live enquiry forms, substantial copywriting and automation are outside these starting packages. Your quote will spell out any extras.

Need help keeping track of enquiries?

Enquiry dashboards, confirmations and follow-ups can be scoped as an optional automation project. Pricing depends on the workflow and services involved.

03 / WORKING TOGETHER

Know what happens next.

A straightforward process, with a chance to review the work before your website goes live.

  1. 01

    Tell me about your business

Share what you do, who you help and what you’d like your website to achieve. An existing website or examples you like are useful too.

  2. 02

    Agree a clear quote

We confirm the pages, features, price, payment stages and timeline in writing. Then you provide your text, logo and any photos you want to use.

  3. 03

    Review your first draft

Review the layout and content, then send your feedback together. The starting packages include two rounds of changes within the agreed scope.

  4. 04

    Approve and launch

Once you’re happy, we connect the domain and check the agreed features. I’ll explain the handover and options for any future updates.

Planning your launch? As an initial guide, allow 5–10 working days for a one-page first draft after scope and content are ready. Availability and the actual schedule are confirmed in your quote; revisions and launch come afterwards.

04 / YOUR WEB DESIGNER

Local roots.
A personal approach.

Hi, I’m Ethan, an independent web designer based in Warwickshire and the person behind Avon Web Studio.

I’m building a small studio focused on practical websites for tradespeople and local services. You’ll work directly with me, from our first email through to reviewing your website.

The examples above show how I approach a project. I’ll be clear about what I can deliver, what needs a separate service and what it will cost.

05 / A FEW USEFUL ANSWERS

Before you get in touch.

What do I need to provide?

Your business name, contact details, service information and the areas you cover. Send your logo and photographs if you have them. I can tidy the wording you supply and discuss suitable free-use stock photos; a full writing or branding project would be quoted separately.

Can you work with my existing website or domain?

Yes, we can discuss a refresh or a new site using your existing domain. I’ll review your current setup first and explain what can be reused. Domain changes and launch timing are agreed with you.

What does “from” pricing mean?

The listed price covers the starting scope described in that package. Extra pages, complex features or additional work may increase it. You’ll receive a written quote before work begins, and any scope changes need to be agreed before extra work is done.

How do payment and revisions work?

Your quote sets out payment stages, including any deposit and the final payment. Each starting package includes two rounds of revisions: send your feedback as a single list for each round. Extra rounds or new features are quoted separately.

Who owns my website and domain?

Your domain should be registered in your own account. After full payment, the agreed handover includes the custom website files produced for you. Third-party fonts, images, software and hosting remain subject to their own licences and terms. We’ll confirm hosting access and any transfer arrangements before starting.

Will I have to pay a monthly maintenance fee?

A maintenance package is optional. You’ll still need any hosting, domain renewals or third-party services required by your setup. If you’d like help with later changes, I can quote for those separately. The build price does not include unlimited future updates or lifetime hosting.

Will a website guarantee more customers?

No honest website package can promise a particular number of enquiries or a Google ranking. The aim is to make your business clear, credible and easy to contact. You’ll also need to bring relevant people to the website through recommendations, local promotion or other marketing.

Are the demos real client websites?

No. Harrison Electrical is a fictional business created to demonstrate website design and an enquiry workflow. Its reviews and business statistics are sample content. The automation preview does not send emails; a live email connection would be a separately scoped part of a client project.

06 / LET’S TALK ABOUT YOUR WEBSITE

Start with a conversation.

Tell me a little about your business and what you need. I’ll reply personally with any questions and the next steps towards a quote.
